Targeted protection
Figure skating places pressure on more than just the kneecap. The patellar tendon and upper tibia absorb repeated impact during slides and ice contact.
That is why Edge uses shaped silicone zones that follow the natural contact points of the knee, protecting where it actually matters on the ice.
- Goodbye bruised knees
- Less fear of pain
- Clothes stay protected
- Repeat slides endlessly
Designed to move with you
Every detail is designed to feel natural on the ice, so nothing gets in the way of your skating.

Compression Fit
The compression fabric gives light support around the knee without feeling stiff. It stretches and moves with you through bends, movement, and skating, so your knees never feels restricted.

Double grip
The grip at the top prevents the knee guard from sliding down or rolling. This matters during deep knee bends and long sessions, where stopping to adjust your gear breaks focus.

Soft velvet lining
The inside around the knee is lined with soft velvet to protect sensitive skin. This helps reduce irritation and discomfort during repeated knee contact with the ice.

Breathable back
The back of the knee is designed to crease less and let heat escape. This helps reduce sweat buildup and keeps the knee area more comfortable during training.

Made for ice
Edge Gel Knee Guards were developed
specifically for figure skating.
Every element was refined through real on-ice testing to handle slides, deep knee bends, and long training sessions.
Tested by skaters, trusted by coaches, proven on the ice.
Trusted by skaters worlwide
I’ve been training knee slides for my new program and used to get super bruised knees after each training, black and blue. Now I don’t have any pain anymore and they look really cool.
- Liza (competitive skater)
I recommend these to every skater I work with. They protect without getting in the way of performance…and big plus you don’t need fresh ice anymore to train slides.
- Jonas (Choreographer)
I wished I had my edge guards sooner cause I cut myself really badly once with a knee slide and needed stitches. Now I don’t go on the ice without!
- Ashanti (Competitive skater)

Why most knee pads don’t work for skating
Most knee pads were never designed for repeated sliding on ice. Foam compresses, loses shape, and stops protecting long before it looks worn out.
Edge Knee Guards uses silicone padding and therefore outlasts most of your skating gear making it the best choice when it comes to protection.

Train More. Slide More. Without Pain Holding You Back.
Put them on when your skates go on. No mid-session breaks. No wasted time.
Most skaters can only slide a few times before the pain kicks in especially once the ice gets rough. These gel knee pads change that.
You can repeat moves, choreography, and explore new ideas without waiting for perfect ice or worrying about bruises.

Most skating gear wears out fast. These are made to last.
Meant for seasons, not just sessions
Edge Gel Knee Guards are built for frequent training, not occasional use.
The silicone padding keeps its shape and protection through repeated sliding, unlike foam that breaks down over time.
How Edge Develops New Products
When you buy from Edge, you help us research, test, and develop the products skaters actually need for skating today. We launched with knee protection. This is only the first step.

Yes, especially if your knees touches the ice during slides, choreography, or even unexpected falls. Many skaters develop inflammation or pressure-related joint damage over time from repeated contact with the ice. This knee guard helps prevent long-term knee injuries before they start. It’s better to protect early than to recover later.
Edge Knee Guards was chosen and tested by skaters not adapted from other sports. It protects the full knee using contoured silicone zones, stays in place while you move, and feels nearly invisible. It’s designed for the way skaters bend, slide, and train.
Yes, it’s designed for both skin and fabric contact. Worn under tights, it’s barely visible. But we recommend wearing it over your leggings or training gear to also protect your clothing. Ice contains chemicals that can discolor or continuous friction can tear fabric, so this knee guard helps preserve both your knees and your clothes.
Yes. The top hem features a nonslip grip and a slightly longer upper fit to hold onto your upper thigh. This keeps the sleeve in place when bending or jumping, without rolling or slipping. It’s ultra-light and moves with you.
Slide the sleeve over your foot and pull it up until the padding area (silicone) centers over your kneecap. The silicone grip should sit just above your knee, hugging the upper thigh for a secure hold. It should feel snug, not restrictive.
Soft silicone is the best choice. Hard pads restrict movement, feel bulky, and break the clean leg line. Foam pads can’t offer the same protection at this thinness. Silicone allows for better flexibility, absorbs impact without needing extra bulk, and is much easier to clean.
