Created to change how skaters move

Edge started where it should, on the ice. It was created by a skater who saw how little existed for us, not just in protection but in representation. For too long, skaters have adapted to gear borrowed from other sports, built for different movements and needs. Skating is evolving faster than ever, yet the gear has not kept up. Edge exists to change that, to support how modern skaters move and to help them grow in their journey on the ice.

Founder’s Note

"I grew up on the ice. It has always been where I feel most myself."

But after years of training and teaching, I started to realise how little was actually made for skaters. When I needed something as simple as proper knee protection, I had to look outside of skating. I kept wondering why no one was focusing on what we truly need, not just on how things look.

That is how Edge Athletica™ started. I was tired of seeing skaters adapt to gear that was never designed for them. The sport is evolving faster than ever, and this is the moment to support that change. Skaters are pushing boundaries, exploring new styles, and redefining what the sport can be. Standard pain and limited support should no longer be part of that.

Every product we create will be made to serve the skater, to support them, to protect them, and to move with the way skating is evolving. Edge exists to help the sport grow in the direction it deserves to go.
